Feathers: feather designs and feather motifs:

feather designs and feather motifs
Feather designs: Alsace had much influence on fashion in the 19th century. At the time, Alsatian manufactures owned design workshops in Paris, working on top new designs and motifs. In 1830, feather designs appear on the prints, imitating more or less realistically ostrich feathers or the plumage of birds. Feather designs and motifs, intended to dress the elegant ladies, these fabrics were coordinated with the elaborate headgear, which was made with a mix of ribbons, feathers, turban and precious jewels then in fashion. IMAGOMAG, an online service of Museum of Fabric Printing, invites you to discover this original genre in its “Feathers” theme and presents its collection of textile images "feather designs": find your feather designs and motifs to download and let yourself be inspired by the huge textile image library from the end of the 18th century to the present day.
